    Morning Call by Greg Secker


    2007 - 05.31

    The DOW tested low at the open to find its feet then rallied during the session to close up 111 points at a new high of 13633. The S&P 500 Had a good day long closing up 12 points at 1530 and the NASDAQ closed up 20 points closing at 2592. The FTSE, writes Greg Secker, was called down quiet considerably yesterday to test its support line then pivoted back to close the day down 4 points. Futures – DOW called up 30 points, FTSE called up 36 points. Oil is trading at $63.43 a barrel and Gold is trading at $657.7.

    2007 - 05.30

    The DOW closed the day up 14 points at 13521. The S&P 500 had a day of gains to add 2 points closing at 1518 and the NASDAQ rallied at the close to finish the day up 14 points closing at 2572. The FTSE, writes Greg Secker, was called up at the open and continued to show strength closing the day up 36 points at 6606. Futures – DOW called down 29 points, FTSE called down 34 points. Oil is trading at $63.19 a barrel and gold is trading at $658.2.

    2007 - 05.29

    The DOW Traded up on Friday to close the day up 66 points at 13498. The S&P 500 also performed well bouncing off its 20 ema to gain 8 points closing at 1515. The NASDAQ also had a positive day closing up 19 points at 2552. The FTSE, writes Greg Secker, gapped down at the open but was later filled to close up 5 points at 6565. Futures – DOW called up 20 points, FTSE called up 15 points. Oil is trading at $64.70 a barrel and gold is trading at $656.

    2007 - 05.25

    The DOW opened the day strong to test new intraday highs before falling back sharply to close the day down 85 points at 13505. The S&P 500 fell sharply at its open to break down through its channel falling 14 points to close at 1515. The NASDAQ also had a pull back closing down 39 points at 2551. The FTSE, writes Greg Secker, also had a sell off down 51 points to close at 6560, watch for a bounce or break of 20ema on daily chart. Futures – Dow is called down 34 points, FTSE is called down 11 points, Oil is trading at $64.58 a barrel and gold is trading at $655.6.

    2007 - 05.24

    The DOW rallied at the open to close the day down 14 points at 13587. The S&P 500 also had a strong push at the open to close down 1 point at 1530. NASDAQ fell 10 points to end the session at 2596. The FTSE, writes Greg Secker, traded up at the open to end the day up 9 points closing at 6616. Futures – DOW is called down 68 points, FTSE is called down 22 points, Oil is trading at $65.90 a barrel and Gold is trading at $662.4.

    The DOW touched on intraday highs to fall back during the session to close down 2 points at 13540. The S&P 500 closed down 1 point to close at 1523 and the NASDAQ climbed 9 points to close at 2577. The FTSE, writes Greg Secker, 100 looks to have bounced off the top of its channel but traded sideways most of the day before falling towards the close down 30 points at 6606. Futures – Dow called up 10 points, FTSE called flat. Oil is trading at $65.68 a barrel and Gold is trading at $660.8.

    The DOW tested new intraday highs to pull back and close down 13 points at 13566. The S&P 500 also tested new 52 week intraday highs and close up 2 points at 1526, the NASDAQ closed up 20 points to close at 2582. FTSE 100 opened the day strong to test new intraday highs then fell back towards the close to finish the day down 4 points at 6636. Futures – DOW called down 19 points, FTSE called up 8 points. Oil is trading at $66.96 a barrel and gold is trading at $663.

    The DOW opened strong on Friday to close yet again at a new high up 79 points at 13523. The S&P 500 closed at new year highs to close up 10 points at 1517, watch for a break of 1530 near all time highs. The NASDAQ closed up 19 points to end the week at 2545. FTSE 100 broke out of resistance at 6600 to set new years high, up 61 points at 6640. Futures – Dow is called up 37 points, FTSE called up 25 points. Oil is trading at $66.24 a barrel and Gold is $661.5.
