Morning Call by Greg Secker

The DOW continues its strong move higher by adding 15 points yesterday and closing at a new all time high at 13105. The S&P fell back 1 points, the NASDAQ added 6 points as they both consolidate at their highs. The FTSE, writes Greg Secker, 100 gapped higher at the open above the 6500 level but could not hold on to its gains as is traded back lower throughout the day and ended the day up 7 points at 6469. The FTSE, writes Greg Secker, 250 also gapped higher at the open above the 12000 level but fell back during the day to close up 36 points. Futures – DOW is called up 5 points, FTSE is called flat. Oil is trading at $66.50 a barrel and gold has fallen back to $672.6.
